Accessability
We strive to make this website accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. Our intention is to comply with best practices and standards. In order to assure this, we have taken the following measures:
In addition to those measures we do not make use of iframes or other features, that may reduce the efficiency of screenreaders or other assistive technology. We no longer use tables which should further improve accessibility. Also we do some testing with text only browsers to ensure a minimum compatibility with them for users with impared vision. Though we are not able at this moment to optimize the website for such browsers, we aim to make it possible to navigate the site with such a browser. With almost all formatting on this site being based on CSS, visitors may use certain tools to adjust the layout and design of the site to their individual requirements. Furthermore we strive to minimize loading times for all pages on this site, reviewing and improving the size of each and every image, optimizing code and server side performance. We avoid 3rd party extensions or plugins that may not prove compatible with the overall design, layout and accessability of this site.
In addition to those measures we do extensive testing on the printablity of all pages, so to ensure compatibility with most printers as well as PDF writers. Currently we are working on a solution to implement Access Keys features, which should further improve the accessability of this website. Unfortunately we do not have the resources which large corporations may have to comply and obtain certifications of compliance with every available technology and standard. However, from the scratch when this site was designed, we always had accessibility in mind and welcome your comments and suggestions which help us to improve the site. Please feel free to contact with us at any time.
